aubren spent the night with aunt kristin and uncle andy tonight. it has been a little strange for trey and me with her gone - this is the first time she has been away from both of us. it is exciting in the sense that, for the first time in over two years, we'll have an opportunity to spend time the night by ourselves (can anyone say "sleep in"?!?); but, it's bittersweet because it reminds us of how quickly she is growing up.
when we talked to her tonight, she got excited and told kristin that "mommy and daddy come get aubren now." when kristin told her we would not be coming until tomorrow, she retorted "no, not tomorrow - today!" when we confirmed it would be tomorrow, though, it didn't phase her. "oh, ok!" is all we got before she ran off to play with her cousins.
i know she is having lots of fun but we can't wait to see her in the morning!!
