aubren has a very sensitive gag reflex, and last night, when she put a big bite of quesadilla in her mouth, it kicked in. trey told her to spit it out, but she refused. somehow she managed to finish chewing and swallow, though we were worried that we were going to have to apply our heimlich training.
when she got it down, trey told her that she was in trouble for disobeying - and that next time she needed to spit out such a big bite when mommy and daddy told her to do so. she wasn't phased, and pulled out her trump card.
"no, daddy, jesus say no spit out my food."

that's awesome!!! is that something you told her before? or did she think that one up on her own?
of course we did NOT tell her that. i have no idea where she came up with it, either.
