this outing happened a few weeks ago but i was waiting to post it with pictures. obviously the photos are still on the camera. i guess i need trey to give me a refresher course on downloading! whenever i learn i will post the pictures.
aubs and i went to the zoo with our playgroup. she was so excited about going and couldn't wait to see all the animals. she didn't even want to play in the children's zoo area while we were waiting for everyone to arrive. she just wanted to get down to business. we finally went to look at the different animals and she would look at it for maybe a minute or two then say, "let's go see another animal". her favorite were the giraffes and elephants!
i decided to forgo a nap and just stay at the zoo and she did fabulous. towards the end we rode the carousel 3 times (thanks to the lady who gave us tokens for 2 free rides) and went to the gift shop. she really wanted to buy a stuffed animal to add to her collection at home. we picked out a few that she could choose from and she found an atm machine to do the transactions. she would hold an animal, punch the keys, and say, "oh, you cost $55. that is too much" and then put him back on the shelf. the hippo was the last animal. she decided he only cost $15 and was just right. so she tucked him under her arm and took him to the cashier.
we left at 3pm and since we were meeting trey for dinner at 5pm we decided to go to pottery barn kids to pass time. she played with their dollhouse for an hour and had a blast! from there we went to chick-fil-a and she was so excited to see trey. we finally got home around 6pm, took a shower, introduced hippo to his new friends, read books, and lights were out by 7:15pm.
