i usually find myself focusing on things around the house that need to be done like picking up aubren's toys, doing the dishes, tackling the laundry, etc. aubren is usually pretty good at playing independently but eventually gets tired of me not sharing my attention with her. so i decided friday would be all about aubs. i didn't do any housework!! we danced to dancing with the stars (aubren's new obsession), did puzzles, crafts, laid in bed and read countless books and pretty much anything else in room got some attention.
it was a wonderful day with just the two of us. she is so sweet and i love that her favorite thing to do is to spend time with her mom and dad!
i love phrases that come out of aubren's mouth - here are some that have made me smile...
t: aubren, do you see the christmas lights?
a: yes, oh they are so beautiful!
a: phew, it sure is cold outside today.
a: mommy, you are beautiful!
