for the last six months or so we have been throwing around the idea of becoming a one car family. we wanted to simplify our life, reduce our carbon footprint, save money, and be content with what we have. so, when our volkswagon died in the HOV lane on 635 we decided to go ahead and make the change. we now only have our 2 door honda accord. it is sometimes a challenge with the little ones and i am sure we will have to make activity sacrifices as we go forward but we feel it is worth it. trey has his scooter and he enjoys using the public transportation system. the girls and i have even used the bus and we look forward to the weather getting cooler so we can tote the girls around in the bike trailer.
trey's friend, rob mccullom, is the co-host of good morning texas. they are doing a special on going green and rob asked trey to come on the show to discuss our decision to live as a one car family and our use of the dart system. trey had to submit a photo of our family for the segment so you may see the one below if you tune in thursday morning (8.05)
