day at the zoo

cousin katie-kate has been staying with us for a few days and today we decided to go to the dallas zoo. our plan was to stay for an hour or so, but with the heat (or lack thereof), we ended up staying for five hours. the girls had so much fun and since we have a membership the day only cost us $7!!

we had to wait 45 minutes for bird's landing to open so aubs enjoyed playing in the water. i lost sight of her at one point and found her sitting in the water behind a rock joyfully singing to herself.
aubs wanted to make sure the bird was as far away from her as possible
right after the bird pooped on her!


my sweet girl did so good today! she stayed in her stroller most of the time which is unusual. she loved seeing the animals and watching the girls ride the carousel.
