we all have hopes for our child's character - traits that we would like them to have naturally. as aubren gets older, i hope that she will continue to develop her sweet and gentle spirit, her kind heart, and her genuine interest for people she meets.
yesterday, when i picked aubren up from the gym nursery, another mother was picking up her son. i am not sure of his medical condition, but he has some form of developmental disability. when she realized i was aubren's mother, she smiled at me and said that her son, john, really likes aubren. he walked over to aubs and touched her arm and she sweetly told him goodbye.
when i saw the same mother today, she again told me how much john liked aubren. she said that it is unusual for him to gravitate to any one person, and she seemed really excited and encouraged to see him make a connection with aubren.
it makes me so proud to know that my daughter, even though she does not realize it yet, can make a real difference in someone else's life.

aww...sweet, sweet aubs!!!
so sweet!
I must have just had a baby...I am crying. Sweet Aubren. I pray that Carsen (and Canon now) will illustrate Christ to those they meet. How awesome that Aubs can already show a tender heart.
this choked me up. I can't wait to meet you & Aubren!
