moment of defiance

aubren has been expressing herself a little differently these days - she is still our sweet little girl, but she has officially entered the "terrible twos." i thought she got it out of her system at 18 months, but it's back - and it's worse! this weekend trey and i experienced her first outright moment of defiance. i can't even remember what she was doing, but we were in the car and trey asked her to stop. she proceeded to tell us "no," so trey pulled the car over and explained to her that she needed to stop and say "yes sir." she looked at him with a straight face, tucked her head down to her shoulder, closed her eyes, and started snoring (pretending to be asleep). we sat on the side of the road, fighting the urge to laugh, for about five minutes until she came around.
